The Jokai Group employs over 12,000 people across it’s 7 tea estates and each tea estate is fully invested in ensuring that the health, education and standard of living of our people is continually improving.
The Jokai Group is proud to say that 57% of it’s total workforce comprises of women and each of them earn an equal wage to the men. The Group is committed to improving the lives of its women workers and has launched the Neela K. Shah Fearless Giving Initiative with a goal to produce and donate 100,000 sanitary napkins to women workers in 2021.
The Jokai Tea Estates are a unique gift to the tea industry with a legacy that spans centuries. The quality of the soil, the health of the bushes and the culture of the people are all reflected in that first sip of brisk, golden-brown tea that is enjoyed across the globe, across cultures, religion, and peoples.
